Smallholder farmers play an essential role in agricultural production. While more than 500 million family farms support to feed the global population, smallholder farmers are generally vulnerable to food insecurity and other development challenges. Please join us for a conference addressing best practices for gaining knowledge from and working with smallholder farmers. This one-day conference will provide discussions on new, field research to inform and impact U.S. policymakers and other counterparts in global agriculture development.

This event will feature with speakers including, Ambassador Islam Siddiqui (CSIS), Jane Maland Cady (McKnight Foundation), Brady Deaton (BIFAD), Saharah Moon Chapotin (USAID), Karen Garrett (KSU), Julie Howard (Consultant & former chief scientist, USAID Bureau for Food Security), Ruth Meinzen-Dick (IFPRI/CGIAR), Keith Moore (VPI), Rebecca Nelson (Cornell), Corinne Valdivia (MU).

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Monsanto can help smallholder farmers. Look at how much it has done to help in India, nearly 300, 000 smallholder farmers have committed suicide.
