REAL Teaser: Adrienne Discovers Her European Heritage

The ladies of “The Real” each took a DNA test to find out more about who they are. Tune in this Thursday, because the results are in! Watch as Adrienne learns about her Native American and European roots.

It's really not that surprising, South America has a similar history to North America. Europeans (mainly from Spain and Portugal for South America) came down and colonized it, took it over from the Indigenous people living there. The Latino race is just a mixture of European, Indigenous and African people. I never understood why Latino is considered a race, but we don't say that American/Canadian is a race. That's because Latino race isn't really a race on its own, but a mixture of previous races that came together.

Seeing a lot of these tests on videos make me want to purchase the kit and see exactly how much percentage I have from Native American and European. Most people from Latin and South America are mixed with European and Native blood.

Being Puerto Rican myself we have Taino/black /European. I unfortunately just discovered that and im ashamed to say that because im 25! I just never studied it because I came to America little. Not a lot of people know this either.

At the end of the day, this just shows that we all bleed the same blood and that we should act as one big family. Many people will despise other cultures when in fact they do share their blood, habits and customs as well as features.

I would hope that she knows that being Puerto Rican means having, Black, European, and Native (Taino) blood. Maybe she was just shocked that the percentage of white was so high.
