I am Futsal Goalkeeper for Birmingham City and at nationals i had a major injury to my groin. During surgery ans recovery i watched this episode and cried because that feeling of uncertainty if youll ever hit those levels i felt that from Chigiri.

I am back now in the reserve squad, still not there yet but i am fighting!

Bruh I have the same injury in the same leg but mine is farther along and dislocates (or attempts to) constantly. The day that I had enough and went to physical therapy (because I still refuse to get the surgery) was like this. This scene when it hit had me bawling my eyes out. They nailed it. I am a 31 year old man who jumped up off my couch and screamed "Go!" because the scene hit so personally. After this episode there was no doubt this was my favorite anime hahaha. It's not best looking, it's not the best story, but the deep understanding of competitive ego they portray makes it so personal to anyone who is competitive. So damn hype.
