I like that your background is not staged or fake. I like that I feel like I’m hanging out in one of your rooms with you. And I also love when we get a Stella/Mr Kong bomb 😊 I think as soon as a channel gets big enough and “fancy enough” (or whatever) that they bend to the popular opinion and start doing these elaborate, staged backgrounds, that’s about when they also lose sight of where they came from and the normal, everyday person that’s enjoyed watching them for so long. I love that you’re a mom and an everyday woman, not a make up artist or super glam person. That’s not the opinion I need or want. I want the opinion of someone like me, a busy, regular everyday woman/mom. That said, if you want to spruce up your room and improve your background, go for it. But don’t do a staged background just bc of a few loud opinions. I think the majority of the people watching, those you’re actually looking to reach, don’t want that. (Sorry that was so long! 😳)

I don't know why I am so surprised that people commented about hating your background ... it's just another example of the negativity in the world. There is nothing wrong with your background . Honestly I am not here for what you have in the background - although I do love when Kong makes a visit ♥ I am here because you are down to earth, you give awesome reviews of so many great products and you are real and honest. If certain people love the look of staged backgrounds and all the lights and drama there are plenty of other youtube channels they can visit . Just keep being you !

My husband just went back to work for a former employer because of taxes. After 5 years as a contractor/self employed - we’re over it. Way too much stress for us! I hear ya about the house...we are in the same boat. Any house is a lot of upkeep but an older one is constant $$$.
