How many pull-ups can you currently do? What’s your pull-up goal?

I could do lots of pull ups during my twenties, as I got older I also got heavier. So like your partner I also started comfort eating. You have determination girl. Congrats

My goal for 2023 was to "unlock" pullups and i was beginning to lose motivation so this video came at the perfect time! I remember watching you pushups video a few years ago and because of it I can do pushups all the time now! Hoping to do the same for pullups

I love this video. I'm also recently starting on a fitness journey on my own with a bodyfat% with a friend. Watching your video makes me attempt pull-up negatives again! keep it up!

I remember being only able to do 3 in my late 20's, despite years of doing lat pulldowns. My forearms weren't strong enough to hold me for that long. I eventually quit weight lifting and switched to bodyweight calisthenics. Doing negative-only reps was key to early progress. I can now do about 18 pull-ups in a full range of motion, and about 35-ish if I cheat and use partial reps and momentum. I've learned that I have poor exercise recovery, so I need 2 weeks rest between workouts.

Just the video I needed to see. I have always wanted to be able to to do just one pull up but felt that it was impossible for me. Thanks for the motivation!

Hi. I like the pull-up idea. I'm wondering what the name of the device you're using is called. Could you make a video on how to use it to set different lengths - for pull-ups and push-ups? And where can you buy it?

I can barely hang from the bars. 10 seconds in and my muscles are screaming. You can imagine the amount of trouble I went through in the military for never passing my IPPT (and I was a regular in the RSN for 9 years). And also remedial training every year after I ORD until I reached 40 years old. 2.4km, standing broad jump, chin ups, shuttle runs are all my Achilles heel. I failed every thing except for sit ups. I did pass 2.4km once but failed again one week later after a bout of celebrations. It occured to me that I had to put in 10 times as much effort as the average person to achieve “combat fitness”. This is a time commitment that for the sake of my sanity I can’t oblige. So I just gave up training altogether. Exercise is still a taboo word for me personally.

How did you attach the rings to your ceiling?

Thank you, now I don't feel so bad for not being able to do pull ups. I have more lower body strength than upper body strength.

I had a pull-up bar that I attached to my door when I was in university. I got really good after 2 years and had a personal record of 11 pulls at once. The doors of my place after graduating couldn't hang a pull-up bar, after a year or so, I can barely do 3 now 🥲
