(1325) Dog & Bone Locksmart Assaulted with 3000 Degrees

Purely for fun, I assaulted the Dog & Bone "Zamak-3" in the Locksmart padlock with 3000 degrees @ 500,000 BTU. It melted like butter!

I nominate for the wall of shame the Centurion SIPL060, for having a fake "hardened" shackle, and being vulnerable to a comb pick, as well as being notorious for corrosion issues, and just generally having abysmal fit and finish. It has a spring loaded locking pawl, so it may or may not also be vulnerable to rapping attacks?

This was an excellent way to mix in some DESTRUCTION with the normal finesse and attention to detail work that normally goes into our lock picking hobby. I'd much rather torch a lock, or put a round or two through one than bending my picks like I usually do when getting frustrated! Gotta get destructive once in awhile! Thanks Bill!

At least if someone wants to make a crappy lock... I'd recommend that they at least make it out of a material that's able to melted into replacement ingots for key duplicating. 😅
