I’m not trying to just throw out some blanket statement of like “think positive thoughts and positive things will happen” BUT I really have come to believe that the most significant difference between successful people and nonsuccessful people comes down to one simple thing…and that is mindset.
A simple mindset shift can change not just my day, but my week, my month, the course of my year, and yes...even my life. I'm sharing the ones that I think have made the biggest impact to my life, in aspects from career to home.

In your 20’s you worry about what people think of you. In your 30’s you mostly stop caring what others think of you. In your 40’s you realize people aren’t thinking about you. 😂

I am almost 81, and I really loved this podcast. I have been bogged down in a declutter, but today I feel inspired to keep working. Thank you.

You are pregnant? Congratulations!! 🦋🌸. ——I have always been a negative person. I’m 58. The last 10 years or so I finally realized I have to stop overthinking. Accept what happens. Don’t dwell on what might happen. Take life one day at a time and be happy with what you have and who you are!! Wish I had done that a long time ago. I was in a wreck 5 weeks ago. Totaled my van. Instead of looking at the negative parts of the situation, I am looking at the positive. The only part left was the drivers seat. I was only hurt by the airbag and seatbelt on my chest and stomach. I am OK. I am thankful God saved me.💜🦋—. A few years ago I would have fell apart. I would have dwelled on it. I would have worried about all I lost. —Instead I am happy. I am alive.

My most recent mindset shift is if I really want to do something just do it. I was asking others first “ hey would you be interested in this activity today or what are your thoughts about doing this”. I was frustrated and angry at others for not joining in. Now I say “ I’m doing this today, join me if you like” most will join me but if not I still I’m happy to be doing what I planned.
I decided that I can just be me.

WOW!! This talk checked all the boxes for me. I, at age almost 78, have been really trying to put your mindset shifts into action in my mind. It can be empowering but more difficult the older you get. I’m going to play this particular video occasionally to try to keep myself on track. Thank you so much for sharing with us all your insights!!

Holy awesome, Kallie! When you talked about exercising to be strong and healthy, rather than for looks, I actually started tearing up. Yep! Same here. I used to do it for losing weight or looks but now, in my late 50s, I see others around me aging, getting weak and unhealthy and out of shape. Naturally we will start losing muscle mass starting around 30 but it really accelerates around menopause (50-ish) for women. I want to age WITH STRENGTH and grace and so I'm back in the gym, weight-lifting and it feels amazing. I don't care as much what I look like as I do about my health and strength and balance. Thanks for this video -- what a lot of great wisdom! XO!

Your section about exercising to make sure your body can do certain things is a conversation I recently had with my son. He is working to become a personal trainer and is using mom for practice. When he asked what I wanted out of a plan, my immediate response was, “I want to be able to wipe my own butt well into my old age.” 😂 TMI for some, I realize, but talk about a mindset shift!

Thanks for all your videos. I really do get so much out of them.

I hear you on the “body breakdown”! I’ve had 6 kids in 9 years, and I am 35. Older bodies and many pregnancies really does a number. I find that the best exercise is not exercising. I bike because it’s fun. I play sports and run around outside with my kids. We go on walks to burn energy and get out of the house. I totally agree that exercise should never be to lose weight. It’s all about being healthy and feeling good.

Something I’ve been doing is keeping track of the things I get “ right” day to day… instead of how I failed to get things done on time or perfectly!

My husband had heart surgery when we were both in our 50's. I knew he was not going to be able to do the physical things he used to, so I decided to exercise to stay stronger physically for the both of us. We are now in our 60's and I have hung onto that same mindset. When I was younger it was all about looks. Now it's about living with more strength and physical freedom. Great points! Thanks!

What others think of me is none of my business! My Nana taught me that very early on. One of my all time favourite lessons. Right up there with ‘do it now, properly, and let it go’.

Awesome video, thank you so much. Loved every point, especially #1. Another mind shift that has helped me lately is “something is better than nothing.” I tend to be all-or-nothing, whether it’s exercise or decluttering/cleaning, etc. But now I’m seeing how even doing a little makes a big difference over time. Love all your videos, and love how you’re always so genuine :)

All great tips. My favorite is not letting society dictate paths to success. There is no one size fits all and no time line. Also, some have more difficult hurdles and may not look successful to society when in fact they are incredibly successful. Success has different meaning to others and what you feel is important might not be applauded by others and vice versa. If we all have the same idea life would be dull. Also, you can change any time your goals are not serving you or you have a desire to go a different path.

Have you considered doing a Q&A catch up in honor of reaching your one million subscribers?

I love all these comments about stop caring about what other people think. Especially people you don't even know. Having said that, I do think you look fabulous in this video. Beautiful and strong. 💪💕

From By Samantha March I learned ‘2-a-days’ for when you’re giving yourself grace. If you skip an important habit 2 days in a row, you can’t skip the 3rd. If you indulge in a habit you’re trying to get out of 2 days in a row, you can’t do it on the 3rd. I’ve been pretty rigid with exercising every day for the past 2.75 years, and I need to cut myself some slack because it’s obviously a habit now, and was trending a little disordered. So this technique is helping me skip a day or eat something not on my plan for the day. I know BSM was trying to create new habits, but I kinda repurposed it for what I need.

When you take care of your body for HEALTH, all of a sudden, not only exercise, but eating/self-care/numbers-at-the-doctor, become the reason. This is the key to a long healthy life my friend. Amen sister!

Wow, these are great!! I always wondered why other people are so motivated and I never “feel like it”. So glad to hear that no one “feels like it”, so refreshing to hear!!

It’s really hard to get motivated when you don’t want to do a specific task. You’re right in that you just have to make yourself do it!
