How To Work With Multiple Windows In Split View Mode

In this video I explain tips for enabling split screen view in Windows and Mac. I share the mouse and keyboard shortcuts that make it quick and easy to work between two windows.

This can help save time with tasks like copy & paste, writing Excel formulas, copy between different applications like Excel & Power Point, etc.

I also share a tip for stepping through VBA macros using split view.

Sometimes split view doesn't work in Windows, and I share a tip to reset the Windows, which enables the mode to pick the window for the left/right side.

Both Windows and Mac allow you to adjust the split left & right to resize both windows.

I also explain how I use the Alt+Tab (Cmd+Tab on Mac) shortcut to quickly copy & paste between windows.

Here are some additional resources and links to files I showed in the video.

Hi Jon! Thanks for helping me on my little quest of learning to use key shortcuts in Windows. One small suggestion would be to have separate videos for the windows and mac computers. I expect most people to have one or the other, so having two videos would allow them to select the one that is relevant to them.

Thank you so much :) :D. It was fun to learn. Plus you have told some basic stuff also, I have seen the Windows part mainly but you would have done that all throughout the video, which will definitely be helpful for or to a lot of people. :) Was fun to learn this hehe.

It's not working for me. I have Windows10 and Microsoft office 365. I have 2 excel files open, I mdrag one file to the left but do not see any options to select other side.

Thanks for the tips! It's really useful and now I dont need to keep working back and forth between workbooks.
Just a question. When I click command tab in mac, it showed current apps to flip instead of the workbooks. I was opening a few workbooks at the same time. Am I the only one who has the problem?

Thanks for the tips! When in split view on my Mac I would like to see the top bar of my window. I do a lot within a browser window and would like to be able to click on a different tab in one of my split screen views. When I enter split screen mode it automatically "full-screens" the split. I hope that makes sense!

when I split-screen two windows and then put the cursor in middle to adjust one window to be bigger, it doesn't come up with the grey/black bar? so when I adjust one tab it just overlaps the other without having that sync?
