Hissing Texas Star Mushrooms at Campos de Estrellas

This morning I visited the serene conservation cemetery @campostellaburials (40 miles from Austin) where we will host a special, winter solstice event. Sarah Wambold (the funeral director that is also hosting) and I felt the lucky stars🌠 to witness devil's cigar and Texas Star mushrooms fruiting at the base of a once mature Cedar Elm tree that has now felled and is cycling back into the soil. After trying for 15 minutes to activate spore release by blowing to simulate wind, a strong wind came through and SET THE ✨ OFF!
