Basically the main character lives in a cold and detached world with friends who are equally as withdrawn. He finds a woman, strange and alone...much like him. So he follows her…pursues her love..but she is hardened from the truth behind life…and it’s disguise. She is too different, and so is he. There is no changing that. But She’s accepted this….loneliness. Our protagonist understands the message, but is too afraid to be alone, like the dolphin woman. so he accepts instead; existing in a world he’ll never truly feel a part of.
