For anyone wondering: This procedure doesn't instantly clear your sinuses and it's not pleasant or satisfying at all.
The "balloon" ist inflated to purposefully damage the tissue so it when it heals, the passageway is bigger and it empties more easily.
However, the process is very unpleasant. You get narcotics, sure, but you hear cracking from inside your skull and you get, I'll call them "nose tampons", wich after a few days you pull out yourself from aaaall the way back in your sinus. And yes, you can expect it to be full of blood and snot.
It does help a lot with frequent blockages/ sinus infections.

Source: William Osman had this done a couple years back and he showed pretty much the whole thing in a video.

Whenever I see these types of shorts with a stuffy nose, I always imagine the relief of having a clear nose

I had this procedure done years ago. Best treatment ever. After 30 days of continuous headaches, I went in to have my sinuses checked, and they performed the procedure. After that, my nose drained for about a week. Best treatment ever, I need to go in again to have this done.

I went through this... nothing painful or any kind of discomfort...but rather so relieved after the procedure

I had this procedure. I think I made that face. It’s life-changing btw and takes like 20 min. They’ll tell you you’re back at it in 2 days—more like a week.

My friend died of a severe infection days after receiving this corrective surgery. He had chronic migraines and it was blamed on his sinus not being completely symmetrical or whatever. He went home afterward and complained of terrible headaches and was told that was a common side effect of the surgery and would diminish then go away. He was dead in three days after calling his doctor every day to beg them to see him. Was 32, still a newlywed with a new baby. It was insanely f'd up. I also had every hospital ER accuse me of "drug seeking behavior" when I reported severe pain in my arm after a small injury. Nearly 80 miles away a physician actually took me seriously and luckily I didn't die from sepsis. This story is entirely unrelated, but goes with the big D vibes of the initial story.

Had chronic sinus infections and got this done. It was a very painful procedure. I would 100% do it again because I've haven't had a sinus problem since

Fun Fact: In the cardiac cathlab they actually use a device very similar to this to open blocked arteries in cases of heart attacks.

That sniff at the end sounded satisfying. It feels so good when your nose unblocks itself.
