I was on my way to work the other day, 12h shift, moody af m, l and caught up on traffic, there’s a construction close by my office, 20 stories high building, and I see these men all the way up there, rainy day, mind you, and I though to myself “I’d never get up there on this rainy cold day, and look at these men just laughing while working all dirty” —I usually like manly men, but that day I was more appreciative of them. Society needed, needs and WILL ALWAYS need men, period.

I always thought it was equal. As a Native American woman, we are taught the men take care of our food, security, and family. But so do the women. While they hunt and kill and protect. We clean, cook and feed. The men took care of bringing food, even some berries ND fruit they would bring. While the women built the homes and fires, kept the children and taught them. How is that not equal?

Edit: I didn't realize people thought I as talking about CLeaning the hosue, kids and whatever when I said cleaning. I meant Cleaning up other things as well, Like Hides. To make clothing. drums, homes, and other things. THAT work is disgusting and dangerous.

When I start dressing up with comfy hoodies and pants people tell me to be a lady


When I wear dresses and stuff like that and showing my skin they tell me I'm bringing too much attention


When I eat as much sense I want people tell me to control what I eat and I'll be too fat


When I don't eat because I become insecure cuz of what people say about me eating too much but they still tell me to eat or I'll will be skinny and ugly


When I do t wear makeup people tell me to wear makeup and be a girl


When I wear makeup people tell me I'm trying to get attention


When I play video games and watch anime people say I need to cook an clean


When I hangout with girls people tell me I need to get a boyfriend

When I hangout with boys they call me a pick me


When I love my self people think I think of my self as the best person and so perfect


When I hate my self I'm being a pick me and a attention seeker

Yea I get it men do most of the work on earth like buildings and stuff like that but the only thing that every girl wants is freedom

As a woman, I've never felt this "oppression" that many women complain about. I've held positions where I was paid a higher wage than men who held the same position. Why? Because I worked my ass off harder than they did and earned it. I've also been paid less than men who held the same position. Why? Because they worked their ass off harder than I did and earned it. And in every job I've had, I've never been treated as anything but an equal. Why? Because I worked my ass off. And in positions where men could do the job better than me, I accepted that - because there ARE things in this world that men ARE better at than women.
