How Discord Scam Bot Messages Work!

SAAPHIRE IS NOT A SCAM BOT, IT WAS USED TO HELP GENERATE THE EMBEDS.

Discord's scammers are using some messaging tips and tricks to help hide the malicious links / invites that are riddled in their spam DM messages. Recently these messages have popped up as free nitro bots. While these bots have been covered in previous videos, their main purpose is to get you to authorize the bot so that you can be dragged into a server for the benefit of the scammer.

The purpose of this video is to spread awareness on the flexibility that discord message buttons have and how embed links can be masked (which allow scammers to link whatever they want). The video's goal isn't to specifically target a specific bot. This is because scammers can always just make another bot. Stopping this issue requires educating the public to raise scam/spam awareness.

SAPPHIRE IS NOT A SCAM BOT YOU GOOFY FELLAS. SAPPHIRE IS A LEGITIMATE BOT

I used sapphire's embed features to help me show you how actual scam bots make their scam messages.

Hey, I have been made aware that you use Sapphire in this video to showcase how scammers could trick you.
It is great that you are raising awareness with this video about this scam method but you make it seem like Sapphire is the number one tool all scammers use to get you to click on suspicious links. Would be awesome if you could somehow clarify in the video description or by pinning a comment that Sapphire is not the one causing the issue and people don't need to be afraid that if they put Sapphire on their server it will send weird scam messages to users.
Don't get me wrong, I am more than happy that you are using my bot to show how these scams work, really. But please make clear that sending scam messages is not only against Discord's but Sapphire's ToS, too. Thank you!

This is not an invite link, just a link that gives them some permissions related to your account, showing them your id, profile, etc., but they also can join servers from your account, and by that they can kinda force you to stuck on their servers even if you leave them, until you will unlink the connection from the settings.

These bots are actually like real people. When I say stuff to hurt the bots' feelings, it actually deletes all the dms.

I keep getting the same message from a bot account called isaiah56 with a random white girl selfie as a PFP. it says it's a nitro gift from STEAM. steam the unrelated game platform is using this weird discord account to hand out premium subscriptions for another unrelated chat platform with seemingly nothing to gain. I don't even bother reporting it because if you fall for this it's genuinely natural selection at that point

the real reason why they do that is to get auth joins, when you authorize that bot, you authorize the bot to join for you in random servers as owner bot want. OK so the question is "they want people to join in his server? it's to grow fast and an easy way to get members?".
r: they sell ads (auth ads), but more cheap than an ad normal, like 5$ for 1000 auth joins (1000 random pple who have that bot authorized in their accounts)

They just paste a command and you will join in a random server without ask. grabbing isn't matter anymore cause when you try to change the mail to other, it ask the og mail first (owner gmail) and it alerts the owner that their account is compromised.
