Entre Dos Tierras - Bluestar and Mapleshade PMV - Warrior Cats

After two weeks, I was finally able to finish this thing! (btw, sorry if it looks badly edited, I edited everything on the phone, as my budget is not enough to rent or buy an editing program on my computer.)

I've always been struck by how similar the situations are between Bluestar and Mapleshade, so when my mom was listening to this song, this PMV pictured in my mind.

In an interview, it was said that this song ""Entre Dos Tierras" is an internal struggle, the doubt before the vital decision of great importance, betting on being one as one is, as one wants to be, or as one should be."

It drives me insane that in the books, during the Great Battle, Mapleshade hates SANDSTORM for some reason. PLEASE. If anyone, Mapleshade should hate Bluestar!! Oakheart is one of Appledusk's descendants, which makes it even crazier.

AAAA THIS PMV IS BEYOND AMAZING!! The symbolism and identical parallels between their stories is so incredibly done, especially love the medicine cat scene (Spottedleaf keeping the secret and Ravenwing uncovering it) and the sequence with the kits is superb!!! The color combinations and tones are gorgeously put out, this is such an unique approach to these novellas and your visual artistic skills show it!

I like how you clarified Mapleshade had it worse while also not making Bluestar out to have had it easy!

I know this probably isn’t anything but at 0:56 I like to imagine that the trees are a representation of their trust in StarClan.

The trees for Bluestar are up as she still goes by StarClan’s ways, gave everything up for them, became a Clan leader, and praised them, then ascended to StarClan where her family and friends are.

For Mapleshade she feels (and technically was) abandoned by StarClan. The trees look like claws to me as she hates StarClan, everything of hers was taken by them, was sent to the Dark Forest, is a DF leader, and still curses StarClan’s name, plus she never gets to see her kits again.

Love the Parallels between this. Both of them being in the same Situation although one of them was a lot more ignorant than they other and chose to believe her own stupidity rather than the reality while the other understood what they were doing was wrong and ultimately tried to fix their mistakes.

i know i’m late but I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!! I’ve always wondered about how similar bluestar and mapleshade’s stories are and i love that you brought that to life! everything about this pmv is gorgeous.

also a little fun fact: mosskit is actually related to patchkit, larchkit and petalkit! appledusk is the father of patch, larch and petal, and his bloodline continues to oakheart, who sired mosskit. the more you know :)
