My take on this is that people are valid to feel disappointed and not support her, but also the people that decide to still support her are also valid. Not everyone is a bad person, sometimes we’re just people who make mistakes. Often.

Trauma and distress are the #1 reason for romantic feelings is what I learned from Dr. K and when he talked about how substance rehab centers have trouble due to patients having sex and relationships with each other. It seems like this should be important info for the general public to know so they're more aware of why feelings develop for someone when it's built on a foundation of trauma/distress.

I watched the full stream. She’s crying because of the anxiety and guilt, not for sympathy. She made a mistake when she was vulnerable, I won’t excuse it but I won’t condemn her for life for it either. It’s kinda scummy for so many people in these comments to pretend like they havent been in situations where they couldn’t admit they were wrong.

coming from someone who studies in psychiatry and had mental disorders as well. she is legit. her statements and apologies are real. she almost doesn’t know how to react to so much distress. she’s laughing and smiling to cope with the conscious mistake she made. she knows what she did was wrong and was delusional with the mental state she was in. i can’t imagine being in a 6 year long relationship and it crumbling apart. she was finding that comfort and that someone to fill the void she was feeling. some people don’t understand that mental health genuinely controls a human beings way of thinking. she was delusional over this “perfect guy” when she was in a vulnerable state. i don’t blame her. though yes what she did was wrong, i completely understand why she did what she did.

And also that she just broke her engagement and she knows what it's like to go through that... but then goes on to start banging another married man and having thoughts of "I could be his gf" jesus .. even writing this is cringe and she did that.

Most people will get on a high horse and condemn others even if they have no right to do so. This was a past private matter than has happened already. There has been time, growth and repentance. She had been so genuine consistently, the debate people have on if it’s sincere is so unnecessary. At the end you make your own decisions and you live with them i don’t see how as a random stranger from the internet this has anything to do with us. I don’t think what she did was good. She knows that, i don’t feel like she is trying to justify herself in this, she is just being thorough in the walk through of how it went down. It’s better to just hear people out and move on. If you had her as an idol that’s on you. I always knew she was a person, people are more than their mistakes, i think she has the biggest heart and a beautiful light to her that i hope doesn’t die with all this negativity.

This happened so long ago and is definitely understandable. She just ended a 6 year relationship and he was ending a marriage. Emotional cheating happens all the time. The important part is Fuslie realized it was wrong, cut it off and then apologized to his ex-wife.

The internet loves drama of any kind, so naturally people are going to try to hype it up into something it wasn’t. Props to Fuslie for addressing it like an adult.
