AC Unity DLC: How to Start Dead Kings and What's In It

Assassin's Creed: Unity free DLC Dead Kings is available to download from January 13. This free DLC for AC Unity adds five hours to the game by giving Arno a trip away from the city of Paris to the town of Franciade, known as Saint-Denis prior to the church-hatin' Revolution.

Once you have downloaded Dead Kings for free (a make-nice from Ubisoft for the trouble with Unity), you can begin the DLC by travelling to Franciade by using the carriages marked with an F on your map, such as the one shown in the video above.

To start the DLC, you don't need to have finished the game but you do need to have finished Sequence Four: the one in which you slosh around in the sewers and then kill the King of Rats. Speaking of exploring underground passages: we hope you enjoy exploring underground passages, because there is plenty of that to come in the Dead Kings DLC.

In it, Arno agrees to help de Sade get hold of a lost manuscript in return for safe passage out of the country. In the course of doing that, Arno has to go tomb raiding in the crypts underneath the town, which are full of rats, bats, and the titular dead kings.

In the course of doing *that*, Arno discovers a new faction of shifty enemies, known as Raiders, who are down there hunting for mystic relics and precious treasures.

Above ground, on the other hand, the town of Franciade/Saint-Denis is gloomier than a coachload of goths, adding a ruined basilica, a spooky cemetery and a broken windmill to the list of things for Arno to climb.

The Dead Kings DLC also adds a new guillotine gun, a fancy new oil lantern for lighting his way and scaring off subterranean, plus new murder mysteries, enigmas and co-op missions, with gear rewards for carrying back over into the main game.

If you play assassin's creed unity today it's not actually that bad, pretty damn good to be honest!

Every one complaints that AC unity sucks but it works great on my PS4 like seriously i never had trouble.
And for the dead kings dlc, well you can get the best sword in the game and its free just do the enigmas.

By completing the DLC and one of it's sidequests, you get what is arguably the most powerful sword in the game. It has a chance to stun all enemies in a certain radius on a hit, with the chance going up when upgraded. The sword is called the "Eagle of Suger", and i have it upgraded. It's base stats are, without the stun effect, the same as the Sword of Eden, making it even more powerful than the most powerful sword in the game.

This game is unplayable since I don't have it. Not having it is quite a bad glitch if you ask me. Vive la France!

This was tricky, but with the help of this video, I was able to start dead kings. Fast travel to Franciade, immediately started dead kings

I visited Paris two years ago so I was very anxious to play this game. I absolutely love the game so far. The city is gorgeous and I've yet to experience any bugs.

I really enjoyed unity, I got it for XMAS and I'm still on it, campaign completed. I have noticed bugs that are few and far between, most of these being that when someone wants to hold something, that thing floats about 20cm away from their hand. I haven't noticed any game breaking glitches and I thoroughly enjoy the game, highly recommend picking (or re picking) it up and playing it, it's a blast!

1:24 looks exactly like the first mission in AC1 when Altair and the others were searching for the treasure LOL

I have the sensation that this game has been in development since assassins creed 2 ( ezio trilogy will aways be the best) since there where various hints like the sword of Eden, unity as a common word used, and lots of things revolving around France

My copy is digital, so not traded in. I always enjoyed the underground puzzle sections in Brotherhood, so I'm definitely looking forward to this. Downloading it tonight, just not sure when I'll be playing it.

This dlc makes me for some reason think that assassins creed could totally have a vampire dlc where you have a hidden blade as well as a stake.
