I’m mounting mine as we speak. I think most people are going to be pleasantly surprised (like myself) at how compact & snug the bars fit around the tank. It’s nothing like I thought! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Looks great. As you were showing the lower bars I was thinking, nice, but you need upper bars, and bam, you have them. I assume this will fit both the 'R' and base model? Wven with the upper bars, which are critical to protect the tank, is this adequate to protect the plastics that cover the upper parts of the tank. Plastic parts looks cheap, but far from it. Overall, I love this bike, and your protection package is a real plus.

Looks great! Great design to give customers the option for how much they want to protect. I’d want just the replacement skid plate myself.

Fantastic job! Really well designed and frankly, improves the looks of the machine. Congratulations!

Those look well designed. Are the tabs for the upper guards threaded or smooth? I would think you could leave them smooth as threads there would be damaged in a crash by the force transmitted through the mounting bolt. A bolt and nut through the smooth tab should hold everything just fine. How easily can you do and oil change without taking everything off? Not the #1 design objective, but something to look at. Are the foot pegs mounted directly to the engine? Can they be remounted to the your added frame rails/skid plate mount? I think a lot of folks looking to really take these bikes off road would love that feature. The idea of crashing and having the foot peg tear a hole in the engine casing would be enough to keep me away from serious off-road with that kind of setup. Good luck I hope they do well and we see them in Europe soon.

I like them, they look good, bottom & top. Hope they are available when the 790 Adventure R shows up...

Love it. On my 990, I mount highway pegs on my crash bars. Might be something to keep in mind... a tab for something like that might be useful... or maybe an add-on that includes a set of highway pegs that fit perfectly.

Being an avid KTM guy...plus working at a KTM Dealership...I was very disappointed in the "stock" skid plate KTM decided to go with on the 790 ADV-R (plus it is a super pain in the butt to install!) The design you are showing here is totally AWESOME!!!

I would shape the base crash bars closer to the tank, seen from the front, more like a V shape. To make riding in deeper grooves more easy. ( more ground clearance to the lower sides ). Also, for sturdiness, I'd opt for a lower and upper bar properly welded in one pease, all together.

Just put my order in for the 790 R, will be adding this for sure.

I see it bending at the tabs where you connect the lower and up . Im not too sure about the rear mounting points it looks weak. If you make the upper and lower one piece and have the rear mount connect at the foot pegs bolts you would have a perfect setup.

would be great to have just the skid plate, it really needs a better skid plate like yours, but the bars are completely unnecessary for a lot of riders.

are you guys doing a radiator guard as well?

Not the rail that extends back, but the lowest hoop at the front corner, seems unnecessarily wide. I wonder if it might not be the first point to touch if going through a high-speed sweeper on concrete. I think the craftsmanship looks great. It looks like you guys are doing a great job. Keep up the good work and keep refining.

Love the look and fit of these. Maybe instead of holes either side of the bash plate you could maybe have like radiator fin type guards as well as the holes to help stop dirt going straight through the holes when steering head is turning. Looks awesome. Well done👍
