How Tottenham Can BEAT Newcastle.

Tottenham face Newcastle at home in their first Premier League game of 2025. I thought we could leave Tottenham in 2024, but no. We're back. A depleted squad full of injuries faces one of the most in form teams in the Premier League who have won their last 3 Premier League games without conceding a goal. Alexander Isak scored in every game in December and he'll be licking his lips at the prospect of facing up against Tottenham's back four. But Newcastle have defensive injury concerns of their own and Tottenham could exploit the on the ball deficencies of Dan Burn with their high press.

Maddison on the left makes lots of sense. He’s useful holding up the ball, i rate him working down the touch line to help relieve pressure in buildup, and he can hit crosses into the box from the left half space with Djed holding width.

Eddie Howe is a manager who adapts his team to try and beat the team they’re playing and that is why they will beat us. Ange seems unwilling to do this and I imagine it will cost him his job and soon.

Eddie has found the magic formula and it's working a treat, the flatback four with the midfield triangle of Tonali, Bruno and big Joe feeding the two attacking wingers who feed the lone striker who tends to score on half chances. I can't see Spurs winning the midfield battle or scoring but stranger things have happened. I'm going Newcastle 3 nil or possibly 3-1.

Maddison can be very effective playing as a forward. This could work.
