That is the Bad ass Stance! Many people put 15 inche rim's and tire on .Originally yes they were lower in the weeds but I love this stance and always did since I was a little kid . Have had Many of these cars and I am Grateful that I never sold my original 1970 correct 19 Ebony black 442 w-30 #, a matching car that was owned by the original owner, my friend who ordered it new! Black with white stripes with a rear defogger , that to me is a must so I can back up on a cool morning and defog, defrost whatever! It's got the W-27 reat in it, and the original cam and lifter, s, tons of original documents and original front dealer's plate .It runs and pulls like it has as mind of its own especially on cool evening .I always respect her and if shifts by scary self in I leave her in just drive. Its a material thing in my life that has got me over all these years through ups and downs I thank God for it and my 1970 442 original convertible from my other friend who ordered it new and its also an odd ball with limited slip, 323 gears, speed warning and more .That one I will sell soon I'm sure cause I can't keep all my stuff, ! Yes it's sweet.Mine was also ordered with the hood lock latch that you just slide over to lock or unlock your hood because people were already stealing the air cleaner Oai systems. I probably said last year that I had two original 4 speeds and 2 original Automatic dual gate, s and when I left it in Drive and loaded to launch, when I let go at green, lt jumped and ran the whole way down the track blowing away my 4 speed and several other 4speeds that's all.Now I am much older so no more of that! God Bless all of you and drive them.

Does anyone know it was a factory option to have Red Stripes on Ebony Black? This is the only black car I've seen with non-white stripes.

Correction my w30 w w27 rear has 342, s not 323, s that's all Enjoy the MOMENT , be grateful and try to get out of one's self and try to Hurry Slowly. God bless!!

Great car except the 4 speed. Mine had a factory 'Hurst Dual Gate' shifter, 3.91:1 rear end, 370hp, 500lb ft of torque, W30 option("W-Machine"). It automatically shifted from 1st - 2nd, and jump from 45 to 70 mph, and put down 8ft of posi-track rubber while doing so when racing @ 3700 lbs. I'm been told that mfg's 'under stated' their muscle car HP's so as to comply w/federal regs. Idon't know if its true but it would explain alot w/many cars..'dyno tests' I've seen, YT strip races w/many accusations of cheats.
