In second language learning, *authority* often refers to the *influence of teachers, native speakers, or textbooks* seen as the “correct” sources. While guidance is helpful, true learning grows when learners *build confidence*, *practice freely*, and *interact naturally*, not just follow authority blindly.

I’d say that “how you say something ” is critical. I realized through my years as an English learner that how we say things can completely change the perception of others. Even if you have flawless pronunciation you might structure your conversation as you do in your native language, so the result can be confusing for native speakers of English.
