Hacking the bank by Sami Laiho
In this session Sami will show you how he hacked a bank. Definitely White-hat, well, at least no money was stolen! Entertaining and high on humour but mostly educational. This talk provides relatable reminders how to keep alert about users working with administrative rights, why not to trust USB keys and the importance to know at least the basics of the challenge you want to resolve when employing a top security consultant.
This tale also addresses social engineering and provides warning to always trust ánd check your third-party consultants. There may be a hammer or $1000 bribe in there somewhere, we can’t give all the details yet. There is however definitely value in the relatable way Sami addresses IT security.
