Since Louie DeJoy took over operations of the USPS it has made a steady progression to the crapper. Have had mail-oder Rx, vitamins and other items of value held up by almost 2weeks, some items don't show up for 6 months or USPS has just lost it. Louie DeJoy needs to go and postal service needs to go back to operating the way they were at least 10 years ago, because what they're doing now just doesn't cut it!

USPS is a service to residents of this country. It delivers to every address throughout the country. It's not run on tax dollars and it's not meant to be a for profit service like hospitals in this country. Unfortunately, the wealthy that run the country has ppl fooled. If they start cutting service, the rural routes are the first to go because all those routes are financial loses. When you have to drive 2 hours round trip to deliver to that 1 resident out in the middle of nowhere, that route is going to get cut. If USPS gets privatized, package shipping is guaranteed to go up 25% or more. USPS is what is keeping UPS and FedEx from hiking their prices up even higher. Those of you in rural areas that depend on your mailman to deliver your meds, you better be worried.

Many years ago my driving mailman got to my house later and later. I asked him why and he said all the new employees go out on disability as soon as their permanent so he had to do double routes. He got fed up and retired.

PMG said there will not be layoffs, they will simply stop hiring to replace workers who retire, resign, or change positions.

Why would the reporter interview a carrier who has 28 years in the Post Office. He doesn't have anything to worry about anything. How about interviewing a younger employee. It is not a layoff but a voluntary retirement buyout. This has nothing to do with Trump either.

There will not be 'mass' layoffs. Something has to be done to prevent billions and billions of taxpayer dollars used to support the USPS every year.
