Ichiro COULD have had more homers, but he knew that getting 3 singles with his contact swing was more productive than going 1-4 with a solo hr with his power swing. He sacrificed his power to give the guys behind him more chances for RBIs, and also to keep the lineup moving. Ichiro limiting his power actually led to MORE runs for the team. It’s a film that revolves entirely around isolation, paranoia, mistrust and the reality of there not being any clear obvious chances for survival, some of the best practical blood and monster effects ever put on film, the characters are all more fleshed out and serve a purpose due to any one of them possibly being infected at any given time. The Thing also starring Kurt Russell and Wilfred Brimley’s diabeetus gets major points for that too.

It's already been a rough morning as I found out my dog passed away last night while we were asleep, likely from heart issues. She was a 14 year old border collie and she was there throughout most of my childhood and I'm still shaken up by it. This is a good way to unwind after putting her to rest.
