Roland Xp50 Demo I No Talking

I bought my XP-50 at age 15 in 1996. I still use it today! What a dependable musical workhorse!

I had this monster when it came out, and eventually had all four expansion slots filled (Dance, Vintage Synth, World, Techno)... Sadly, tight personal finances had me parting with it 7 years later... If I had the money and time, I'd find one, (or even the later XP-80 version of this workstation), and then go on a painstaking search for all the expansion boards I once had in mine again... After that, I cannot even begin to count how many _editible_ sounds one has at their disposal! Very well designed Roland product... Second to the Fantom Series, in my opinion... I even remember and recognize the factory patch "Albion" that is getting used at 7:36! That's how deeply I was into this awesome workstation!

This is a good soundtrack to listen to while waiting for someone on facebook marketplace to respond to an ad for an XP-50. They only want 80 canadian for it! I hope this is my lucky day

I have the XP-80. If your trying to get into synth production you need any one of the XP synths in your studio. They won't make you crap your pants with mind-blowing sounds but with the entire JV sound-set at your disposal, there are literally millions of quality sounds at your fingertips. Get yourself one now before prices go up! Nice job Alphacode!

We had this keyboard at our school. Back then I was into rave music so mostly used all the cheesy dance stabs. If only I would have spent more time on it exploring all these awesome pad sounds.

The XP-50 (and his brothers and sisters) have a unique feature which gives you the option to kind of self oscillating (or however you will name it). It can create a unique feedback and it is rarely used in the patches (only one I can remind of which was my to-go patch for heavy metal sounds for the background). I think it is the one from 3:47 but you had to use the mod sliders to get it crazy

I had an XP-50 back in the day when it was first released. Great synth, and the phrase sequencer stuff was great for live electronica. Still have the sounds as I have the JV2080 in the rack..

I have this and a Yamaha SY77. The SY77 is an absolute beast for obvious reasons but I've done a lot of work on the XP50 thanks to some very nice sounds. The piano is surprising excellent too certainly compared to how they sound on SY77 in terms of authenticity at least. The SY77 was only 6 years before it but the difference in piano sounds is striking. Thanks to this and a good range of orchestral sounds I have 8 albums on their way this and next year so it's been a very good time with the machine

a person plays sounds just like space, I almost regret that I bought this instrument in some way resembles the jx 8 p in sounds. and where can I download additional sounds to it to download through floppy disks like on korg Trinity, you can also change sounds on it?

Some nice ambient pads, I prefer hearing these on synths rather than the same old pianos, organs, guitars that everyone else plays

Hola ! Muy buenas ! tengo una pregunta para mi muy importante, quiero comprar ROLAND XP50. Como funcciona XP50 con Logic ProX , es decir tengo unos tracks con midi en mi DAW, quiero enviarlos por midi a XP50 que lo reproduce por su sonido y por la salida audio enviar a interface y qye se graba en mi DAW . Es posible con este modelo ??
