A look at the professional and personal lives of the staff at New York's Knickerbocker Hospital during the early part of the twentieth century. The Knick is an upcoming television drama series on Cinemax directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring Clive Owen. It looks at the professional and personal lives of Dr. John W. Thackery (played by Owen) and the staff at New York's Knickerbocker Hospital during the early part of the twentieth century. The series was created and written by Jack Amiel and Michael Begler, who also function as producers and executive producers. Gregory Jacobs, Clive Owen, Steven Soderbergh, and Michael Sugar (Anonymous Content) are also executive producers. Michael Polaire is the producer and David Kirchner is the associate producer.

Great show! I love all the insight I gained from you guys, and Jack Amiel is phenomenal! I can't wait to see how the plot and characters develop in this show. On a side note, I'm really surprised no one mentioned the interactions between Tom Cleary and Sister Harriet where Cleary was dropping hints that he knew about her abortion work (unless I missed where it was mentioned).
