Here I'm trying out this Dulux WEATHERSHIELD Quick Dry paint, but I'm particularly interested in the fact that it states 'no primer required' - well, lets take a look and check it out!
Being a multi surface paint, I'm trying it out on plastic, aluminium, softwood, and MDF.

Hi Justin, thanks for the video. I've recently moved into a retirement flat with an ugly clinical looking bathroom/wetroom. I have thrown caution to the wind and decided to paint the vinyl floor, worth a try before going to the expense of replacing it right? I settled on Dulux weathershield for three reasons, 1. No primer needed, 2. No sealant needed (hopefully) 3. Four hour drying time.
A test patch last week has stood up to 10 mins of the shower running and being scrubbed with cilit bang. How it will stand up to daily showers and constant back and forth of the shower screen, only time will tell.
It definitely needs two coats, second coat went on this morning.
So far looking good. It's a really nice paint to work with. I used a 10mm sable flat artists brush for edging and getting into awkward spots. Brushes clean up really well.
Next job is patio doors and balcony railings.

Hello Justin, Great informative video. Can you do a video after 1 year of application please ?
Is it worthwhile?

Can this work on stone window sills and cement air bricks? I'm looking to paint them but all masonry paint is a matt finish and I want a bit of sheen to it

Some absolute bellend stole our cast iron manhole cover and I got a replacement flimsy one from Toolstation which was silver coloured. Have spray painted it black numerous times and the minute the wheels of the recycle bin hit it, the paint just scratches away. Do you reckon this gear would be harder wearing? 😉
