I found out about Teddy via "Lose Control", which, upon hearing it in its entirety, made ME lose control. Utterly stunning. But then today, as I was looking for BLINDING LIGHTS, I found he covered it. Blindly, I clicked on it, expecting to hear an absolute mess. Consider this to be me eating my words. Armed with the simplest of instruments-acoustic guitar, keyboards, and a UKULELE of all things!-Swims gets his point across in the slickest, most soulful of ways, but never lets his huge, smouldering voice get in the way of the overriding point, which is the lush vocal melody. No doubt The Weeknd has heard this and is grinning from ear to ear. Utterly CRUSHING.
