Part 2 of my South Pacific trip.

From Port Moresby, I fly into the Solomon Island's hectic, pot-holed capital Honiara. I walk about seeing the main sights, then catch a taxi into the hills to see the American and Japanese War Memorials.

Honiara isn't pretty, but its safe enough.

Although Solomon islands is undeveloped but you hardly see people sleeping in the streets compare to developed countries.
Solomon islanders have no plenty cash but we still survive by eating free fresh fish, fruits, vegetables out from the garden and ocean.
Solomon islands is really bless with tuna fish that you can not see in any parts of the world which developed countries depend on us to feed their growing populations.
Solomon islands is rated as best air quality in the world without any air pollution with chemicals which we can used rain water as our drinking water is free compared to some place in the world rain water is acidic not safe for consumption.
Solomon islands is always rich in natural resources that developed countries depended on us to survive in bigger cities and improved the livelihood of its population.
Despite this poor in infrastructure, we always thank God for Blessing us with Natural resources that we can free access it for survival without cash money.

Despite Honiara is dirt, littered pot holes, bloody hot as you labelled, we are safe and happy and we love our country so much. You hardly see people sleeping on the streets, street crimes or wars and so much of the bad things that ongoingly happen in developed countries.

Even though you labelled Solomon Islands as a hectic, pot hole but as a indigenous Solomon Islander i really appreciate what my country blessed me. We lived happy, togetherness, and the safest place on planet where no terror wouldn't be interested to attacked it. Solomon Islands set a history where World war 2 battle of Honour was taken placed since 1942 and Tourist love to visit Solomon Island because of the Oral history published through the world. God Bless Solomon Islands from Shore to shore. The Uniqueness of Solomon Island People is the " SMILE" where people from other countries loved.

You're the usual kind of tourist who visits 0.1% of the Solomon Islands and concludes the rest of the country to be the same.

Living in the Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹🇹🇹, I always dream one-day of visiting the Solomon islands on an adventurous trip, just to behold my dreams of seeing this beautiful island first hand😊😊😊. Only if I can dream it, then I can believe it. Forget about the many negative others direct to this country, I just want to reach there one day, and to visit your Seventh day Adventist church( of which I am a former member) .

This is a very honest video in terms of describing the physical appearance of the town. BUT PLS, do another video where you get to experience the culture; eat the local delicacies, dance to the local music, go to the beaches and swim, go hiking to see waterfalls and mountain-to-sea views, go snorkeling or scuba diving, surfing, go to the bat caves, go to the lakes and and rivers, go gold panning in the rivers are so many beautiful things that Solo Islands can give you!😊

It was in Honiara that someone told me "it's the people and not the place" that makes things interesting. Stopped complaining and started living life from that day onward.
