Camping on the banks of the Zambezi River...

IMPORTANT LINKS:

In September 2024, we traveled all the way from Hoedspruit in South Africa up to Mana Pools National Park in northern Zimbabwe, where we camped at Nyamepi Campsite on the banks of the Zambezi River for a week.

In this video, I share our overlanding adventure with you, along with all the amazing things we saw and experienced in Mana Pools National Park - the birdlife at Long Pool, elephants in the majestic Ana Tree forests, photographing African wild dogs and other creatures on foot and much, much more.

Also take a moment to watch Byron Grobler's Mana Pools video on the WildWild Journeys channel - he traveled with us and created a masterpiece!

I visited Mana Pools last year and absolutely love the place. To make better, I saw Boswell standing on his hind legs for my birthday. Possibly the best birthday present of my life! This video brought the wonderful memories of Mana Pool back to me

Lovely film! Great memories of Mana Pools, where the walking adds a lot to the experience. Great light in the bushes and lovely sightings.

Bravo Villiers what a brilliant video! You really bring out the magic that is Mana, the magnificent trees, beautiful landscapes, sunsets and all those wonderfully relaxed Ellies. Not to mention being able to get out and walk amongst it all instead of being stuck in your car the whole time. Love this and your bloopers at the end just cracked me up. 😂😂

Can’t wait to get back to Mana…..only 8 more months to go 😀

World class, Vil! Love the way you put this together and it put a huge smile on my face to relive this adventure through your eyes 👌🏼 had a good chuckle when that squirrel ran for its life from the shaking Ana tree, the farting Fred Astaire and the bloopers at the end 😂 informative, entertaining, top footage and overall a super watch 💯

Excellent video presentation Villiers .. loved it ! I was there a week before you arrived . I spent a month in Mana during your stay . Nice to have met you ! The trees you mentioned “ Anna trees “, slight correction there, they are actually Acacia Albida (Faidherbia Albida) trees . I am a wildlife photographer and have photographed Mana for many years now, it never disappoints, the dry period of Mana yes is my favourite time to photograph there from August till November ! Sad they are experiencing yet another drought . 2019 was the last one when all the pools dried up . Stay well ! Ross Sayers Photography!

This is epic. I have wanted to go to mana pool for few years and got so many mixed reviews which kind of put me off. Now watching this I just have to go and see it for myself. What an epic adventure it looks like. Thank you again for inspiring another trip, my bank manager will not like you though 😂😂😂😂😂

Fabulous videography. And the music is great, I’m so focussed on the visuals that I hardly notice the music. Classic Mana Pools and your Prado, well it looks great in that setting

Great video as always. You even managed to capture us walking on the other side of Long Pool at 27:45. And we have video of one you sitting with elephants near Chisasiko Pools 😉

Thank you so much for this beautiful video. It brings back wonderful memories of our own trip to Mana Pools. It looks like we missed each other by just a few days. We were in this magical place for 11 nights at the end of August/beginning of September. Would have been very nice to meet you...

Wow!!
Villiers your video alongside the wildwild journeys has made me want to visit Mana Pools.
Back to Kruger again in August 2025 but then will definitely start to visit other places like Mana Pools, Botswana & Zambia.
You're living my dream.
