Traffic - live on Midsummer Rock, which was a 90 minute TV show (including commercials) featuring Mountain, Grand Funk Railroad, The Stooges and Alice Cooper. The festival took place on June 13, 1970 at Crosley Field in Cincinnati, Ohio, the home of the Cincinnati Reds baseball team. Broadcast in August 1970, it was never rebroadcast. At time of broadcast it was simulcast in stereo by many FM radio stations. Taken from my archive copy 1436

i saw Traffic in Boston two night sin a row at the Boston Music Hall, i think it was 71 One night Stevie just wailed out on a baby blue Strat kneeling on the stage doing a awesome show i would say one of the top two shows i ever saw the sound/music was pristine. The Orange Barrel was oh so good also.

Thanks for this. I was surprised it popped up. I was playing On The Road on vinyl tonight.
I was just born in what remained of 1970
Love the Traffic Jams

Fabulous! I have loved Traffic + Steve Winwood since my, and their, teens. I think I might just have a Traffic Day tomorrow! Thank you so much for this and for everything you post. A wonderful channel 😍

Fabulous! Nobody sounds like SW. I pretty much wore out my Dear Mr. Fantasy album back in the day. Thanks for posting.

The sound of this is so good. This would have been amazing to see in person. I'm a longfan of Steve Winwood, and this is fantastic. Traffic has made great music. Thanks for sharing this. Cheers! ✌️

Thanks for posting this historic live video of Traffic as a trio. Saw Stevie with Blind Faith the day men first landed on the moon in July 1969. Wish I could have seen Traffic. Nice to hear Pearly Queen live and hear Stevie workin out on guitar, along with powerfully soulful Capaldi crushing it on drums at this show.

The flutist/pianist Chris Wood died 13 years later, way too young at just 38. RIP Chris and Jim Capaldi. Only Steve left....

This had to be a super concert. Grand funk, Alice Cooper, Mountain, and Traffic. Just wow.

Steve Winwood is an underrated guitar player, this is rock music at it's finest. By the way, don't those cops look totally out of place.

Had a chance to see them (one of my favourite groups) when I had nothing else to do in London, August and just decided not to, "because I might not like them". Yaargh! Im Canadian and had no chance since!
