The Mesh Market Bag-Easy Crochet Pattern

This easy crochet bag pattern looks more complicated than it is! I show you an easy technique I am dubbing the "Exaggerated Waistcoat Stitch" to make the beautiful meshwork you see here. You can purchase an ad-free written version of this pattern in my Etsy shop or in Ravelry

The supplies used in this tutorial are:

-1 full skein of Bernat Home Maker Dec yarn in the color Clay (or 317 yds of the yarn of your choice. If you choose to use a size 4 yarn, I would double the strands to make it sturdier).

- J 6.0 mm hook for the bag body, and an F 3.75 mm hook to add the beads.

- Two 20 mm wooden beads (I purchased mine in an assortment bucket at Wal-mart)

- Measuring tape, Scissors, and 4 stitch markers

Just finished making two of these. One for me and another as a gift for a friend. I plan on making more to stash in my gift closet. Really wonderful pattern. Easy to make and also interesting to crochet. I didn't put the beads and tassels on because I'm lazy and like them fine plain. There is a lot of interesting texture in the bag.
