I am SO EXCITED!! I just got mine in the mail today!!! I didn’t even know that you recommended them! I’ve been watching you since I accepted my very first position as a Surg tech, two weeks ago 😊. You’ve taught me so much!! You’re AWESOME! Please, don’t stop making videos!

Im wearing the Hoka One One's in the OR now, and love them after wearing Dansko's my entire nursing career (23yrs). As you say though, you need to wear covers to keep them looking decent. Thanks for the review. Could you do a video on Neurosurgery instrument trays as I'd love to share that with my new scrub techs and scrub nurses where I work. Huge fan here.

I wear San Antonio Shoes (SAS) Navigator with their premium insole. They are quite expensive, (around $200) but are very comfortable. I can stand all day and go home without leg fatigue. You can't use the sani-wipes on them, so I use the mop solution we have instead, and have been holding up for 2 years now. Not the most stylish, but they have several options.

Those look pretty cool. I agree with hate wearing shoe covers 😂 I myself have been wearing Calzuro slip-ons for 9 months now and I still love them! They have a perforated and non perforated toe box option. Since I’m a tech I got the non perforated option and it’s super easy to clean and you still get a lot of air in since they are slip-ons.

I love my Clove shoes so much! Easy to wipe off and waterproof. I have two pairs now for the OR

Shoes for O.R. is the bane of my existing. The most expensive i have bought is $150 Berkinstock professional ( they suck). I will have to try these.

I went through all your videos and I didn't see any of you draping the patient for any procedures, that would be awesome to do if you can. thanks bro again.

Excited to see your review. I was just looking into OR shoes for my clinicals in the Fall and had come across the Clove shoes & were really interested in them.

I know that everyone is not always a fan of Danskos, but they really did save my feet. I tried multiple shoes for years, tennis shoes of all types, crocs, different clogs, and finally went to Danskos and fell in love. I have super high arches and plantar fasciitis. I was getting injections in my feet and going to therapy on a regular basis and was finally able to stop. I have been wearing them for 12 years and I just bought another brand new pair and still love them. You have to find the shoe that is best for your feet, no matter what it is. Try everything and if it doesn't work move on. Also, do not be afraid to spend money on your feet, they are the most important piece of your body, they are your base. Take care of your feet!

Year three as an 1100—2300 CST at a level 5 Trauma hospital in SC. Basic shoe covers don't do shit. Impervious boot covers are for wet scope cases. I've seen clogs, cowboy boots, and boat shoes. Fuck style. You've probably already found a brand and model that works for your feet (not your gym choice, think comfortable tourist shoes). I can say that Nike minimalist runners are still my favorite on the street, but Clouds are my go to at work. Stuck in Stratus now (bit too heavy and too much drop), but the Xs were perfect. And never feel bad about spending money on a new pair, if you can afford it. They wear out quicker than you think, and you won't recognize it. This is a physical career, and you should think of yourself as a very niche athlete. Much love.

Nice video man 👍 I’m not a surg tech yet, but I’ll definitely have to cop a pair when the time comes

Nice video Shane. Right now I’m wearing, oddly enough, a pair of high top snow sneakers that bought from LL Bean before I left Georgia. Even though they are meant to keep your feet warm in wintery condition, they are not too hot in warmer climates. They are super comfortable even after being in the OR all day. Dansko’s I hate. They don’t fit my feet properly. They feel like they’re going to fall off so I end up walking funny. As much as I love my snow sneakers, I’m always looking for new or different. I think I might give the Cloves a try as I really like the super grippy feature. That’s a big selling point for me. You mentioned slippery floors during room turnover and I know about that all too well.

Currently a student in ST and am just wondering how important it is to know human anatomy and physiology for the future of my program. I currently have a C and am not retaining the information as well as I'd like. Is this something I should be concerned about and see tutoring immediately? Basically I know I'm going to pass the class but am scared about moving forward without this information solid
