Thankso much for you review. I just bought mine tonite from Walmart as I was in the market for a slow cooker and this intrigued me. The Walmart version does not have the oat or the braise function but it had what I needed and it was $69. As for it not having a medium, well, that’s a relatively new function on a slow cooker and in my opinion a much needed one on today’s models. They run so much hotter than the older ones. I still have one from the 80’s and it’s high is not as hot as a modern day slow cooker.

Brown rice needs more water and is more of a fibrous hard grain. It takes a bit longer to cook.

Thanks so much again.

There is some interesting information on how different brands and models of crockpots vary in how their heat settings work and what high and low really can mean for various ones. I found a website where someone did a test with the possible cooker pro and it looks like these do get hotter faster but at about 1 hour they are steadily rising at about the same temperatures. I’ve never thought to really research this part of buying a crock pot but I’m hoping it helps me use it even better. Thank you so much for your video. It taught me a lot! 😊

After watching one of your reviews of the ninja speedie my wife and I went out and brought one. It’s very good. 👍 🇬🇧

To make a smooth roux, the liquid needs to be added very slowly, while mixing, whisking ..never fast, or the will be little lumps. Its the secret to a silky, smooth roux.

Really appreciate your videos and especially your honest opinion on performance on kitchen appliances. I have been toying with purchasing this or the other earlier model… I held back buying on the other model, as I read so many reviews (UK) about the low slow cooker setting being too low and barely warm and the high setting being too fierce and bubbling like crazy and cooking too fast …. So I waited for a later model thinking Ninja would also be reading consumers comments and would perhaps rectify this down the line and add a medium slow cooker setting. I am very disappointed to discover that there is still only a low and high setting… I would love for your ti share how you think this model it cooks as a slow cooker using a variety of foods including perhaps tougher meats like lamb shanks, beef shin etc., also, are there are any differences in the slow cooking modes of this model and the previous model? I primarily want to use it as a slow cooker I don’t want to be disappointed with its performance.

I own a Heston slow/fast cooker here in the UK and I don’t like the slow cooker setting. It never cooks like my old (now redundant] old crock pot. I use the cooker almost every day for pressure cooking etc., but I am looking/searching for a more versatile modern slow cooker that delivers results.

Apologies for the ramblings….stumbled upon you channel today whilst searching for Ninja Slow Cooker reviews’ fab site - but unfortunately I have now not 😊done my 2 hour pile of ironing :). Thanks guys for the informative videos, I have now subscribed!

Can you set the bake function to 190 and use it the same as a slow cooker? Costco has the other version for $89 right now but I keep seeing the issue with the low being too low and high being too high but if you can set the bake to the right temp, that might work.

Hey guys! Another great review! Looks like a nice slow cooker. That looked like one hearty meal!

I have a request. If it's too much work then don't worry about it. I know filming these reviews are allot of work to begin with so l l'm not trying to add more work for you.

I'd like to see mentioned either in the video or in the description section, the nutritional numbers for the meals you're making. That would include calories, protein, carbs, fats per serving.

Allot of people who may have certain health goals like losing weight, managing a illness (diabetes, high cholesterol,   high blood pressure, etc), fitness goals, etc, like to track this information.

Like l said if it imposes too much extra work then don't worry about. Just thought allot of people are health conscious nowadays so this kind of information is important to them.

Thanks much!

Cheers from Toronto 🇨🇦

Hi guys, Mark with a K from the UK here, I love how you say Wooster sauce, think of Wooster pronounced like “Rooster” 😂😂

This looks a cool kitchen tool, I’m definitely going to try this recipe, it totally looks like my kind of meal. Cheers as always.

I like the original ninja 4 in 1 slow cooker. Sits down in so it gets heat all around. Has bake, roast, saute and slow cook.

This pretty much looks the same as the possible cooker but smaller. Yes, these need a medium setting because the high is way too high. Every time I’ve used mine it way too hot and it boils the food. Hard boil. Low is too low. Ninja needs to fix that! I’m so glad that I’m not crazy! LOL

Your chowder looks great but next time try making it with 1 can of kernel and 1 can of cream corn.
