Ignition priority makes sense to me mainly because at the same time it was a thing in Magic: the Gathering and still continues to be. That said, it's for the best that it's gone in Yu-Gi-Oh because the changes in interaction it facilitated are probably for the best.

This is actually how it works in Magic: The Gathering.
The mechanic is *fine*, the issue is that YuGiOh lets you play all the stuff you want.

I always said that after they took priority away, they should just make some cards with "Priority" as a subtype. Like 'Toon' or 'Spirit'.

I never used that ignition priority bs. Always felt it was too much a randomly made up mechanic that wouldn’t last. Never made any sense to me that if they really wanted me to take it as a serious mechanic they would’ve printed it on the card.
