I was fortunate enough to tour the greenhouses of the University of Washington. Their miracle berry plant had fruited for the first time, and since we were there to witness them find up about it, we were able to take them home. We ate them with lemons and Tabasco, and it was pretty interesting.

I have a couple plants here in Brazil! It's great to eat one directly from the sshrub and then drink lemonade with NO sugar. It's delicious!

As a psychology major I got to try these in my evolutionary psych class. We ate miracle berries for halloween and ate fruit instead of candy... Tablets only lasted about 30mins tho, but I bought a couple of packs for myself. Best decision ever. Grapes and lemons are the best!

I have a small tree of these in my house. They don't work too well for me, but it sure does the trick for other people. Eating apples or oranges is unbearable under the effect of this berry. Also, it doesn't completely nullify sour tastes, just hinders them and boosts sweet flavors. It also makes bitter tastes sweet, so you can drink coffee without any sweetener and it'll taste good.

Also, the berry tastes literally like nothing, even when fully ripe.

I've had these before and bit into a lemon, it was literally the freshest tangiest sweetest lemonade like flavour. They're amazing. Raspberries and blueberries were so addictive with these.

I own two bushes. It really does work. The berries are almost all pit. They are a tropical plant and don't handle zones below 9. I live in Tampa Fl and have to cover them if it is going to freeze.

I heard it does the same thing to bitter foods as well. This was actually on an episode of CSI: New York. There was some party where they were eating...weird stuff (can't remember exactly what, but I know it was exotic). Anyways, someone slipped this girl floor cleaner which tasted sweet, and it ended up melting her stomach and killing her.
