Walrus Audio Iron Horse Distortion Walkthrough

The Iron Horse High-Gain Distortion has been updated for 2021. Owners of the previous versions of the Iron Horse will be familiar with the three distortion modes operated by a toggle switch to change between different clipping modes. The switch has now been replaced with the Si/LED, (silicon/LED) blending knob opening up a wealth of ways to alter your tone.

This quick run through explains what the Si/LED knob.

I bought this pedal recently to replace my current distortion pedal, and this thing is amazing. The blend knob allows me to decide how much compression/crunch I want.

Not to mention, you get a badass horse 🐴

The Silicon to LED blend knob is a super cool function, making the pedal two Rats in one, as the standard Rat uses silicon transistors and the Turbo Rat (renowned for boosting) uses LEDs.

This or ages? I like the dry knob on ages but sometimes I feel I'd mess around with the sound too much. Sometimes it better to have simple controls like this bad boi

I bought this pedal I was very disappointed the tone knobs hardly do anything to the sound and at lower gain settings it sounded the same as well it didn't clean up. the tone on Walrus Audio's gain pedals tend to all sound the same, it's all high gain digital distortion you get from these amp simulators...the best things they have is the Julia Chorus, and The Mako Delay & Reverb ..that's about it.
