I first caught Wayne last month backing Cyrille at Birdland. My life is surrounded by trumpet players in New Orleans and Wayne really stood out to me because he was so good as an accompanist with her. Some of the hottest trumpet players in the world I hear regularly, don't always have that knack for working as well with a singer. He really impressed me.

Somehow this tune just has a wonderful warm tone to it, from Russell's warm opening notes, to Emmet's warm chords to Cyrille's warm vocals - even the drums have warmth! I suppose it probably reflects the warmth of the joyful harmony between the performers in that amazing room. Crazy good!
