We just started using Teams and these segments on the shared calendar has been a great help. I work w/some that don't like or embrace change all that well but they really like the idea of having a one stop place to see all of the dates for the different projects w/o a bunch of emails asking around to see if anyone knows.

I’m racking my brain on how to manage teams meetings for an organization with a shared outlook resource calendar. I’m thinking of using an SPO list and Power Automate together, but it comes back to the same issue: the teams meeting organizer has to be an individual, not a shared resource calendar or M365 group (you can create a Teams meeting on a shared resource calendar in Outlook, but you won’t be able to access the meeting options). The reason we don’t want to use an M365 group cal is anyone in the group can edit the items (and those not in the group can’t see the cal anyway). That’s fine for a small team where everyone knows and follows norms, but no bueno for an org-wide calendar where a small oopsie can have a major impact. When the meeting invite comes from an individual, then others can’t edit/cancel if that person is out (unless they add delegates, but that’s another layer of complexity). I’m trying to find a way for a small group of trusted calendar managers to create and edit teams meetings on an org-wide, read-only calendar, but can’t seem to crack the code. Have you seen this use case before?

I have a question. In the formula to concatenate the columns together, is there a way to automatically add the user’s eg first name to calendar entry? Hence instead of typing “Stan” in the title each time, the user can just select the category type and the application can automatically extract the user’s first name and concatenate it to the entry title?

Question, how can I change the calendar monthly view to show Monday thru Friday not including Saturday or Sunday?

Hi and thanks for such a great content. Is there a way to prevent teams members to change the view, or add columns ? In fact i would like that only the teams channel admin to be abble to make changes to this list. (members should only add content, and change view to month/week view only)

Hi DeShon, thanks so much for this. I love your videos! Colour coding all working well for me. I would also like to be able to filter the view by 'Department Area' so managers can view all their staff's leave in together. Is there a way of doing this in the calendar view?
