I understand this pain immensely.

On my first playthrough after some trial and error I finally got through all those steps to get him out alive, only to find out this quest bugged out for me, Basically, colonel moore would come ask if kimball was safe, and the only option there was like no or something, where then she said to go do it. I tried every bloody other route/option I could find, and those found walkthrough videos. Both alive or dead I couldn't get the game to progress, I eventually learned about the Yes Man route but my enthusiasm while playing it was numbed sadly.
