🤝 Networking is an important part of the residency application process. It's so important that some programs give "bonus points" to applicants who have connected with them at residency showcases or open houses.

Your connection strategy will depend on if you are applying locally, searching nationwide, or attending ASHP Midyear. When I applied, I used a combination of all of these to determine where I would apply, but don't feel like you have to! Choose the ones that are right for you and your budget.
