When he started singing this sad song, I felt tears welling up, it was so powerful. I could feel the emotion. This is a real artist. The film was brilliant and then the ending was devastating. I was stunned because the film was like he said, like a dream. Maybe life is just a dream, like the song! We feel it and live it and then go to sleep. It all just passes us by. Like a Dream.

Oh the blues, so beautiful, so deep within the depth of our souls we feel exactly what their singing. I love jazz but Chet was so rare a singer, even when he got older using drugs still had that thickness, that voce that you could cut like butter. whew soft & rich at once. he's is a wonderful remembered musician

Back in 2014. when I was in Amsterdam had a couple of hours for myself before the flight. I was walking through the city on that windy early spring day. When I got home it struck me that I forgot to visit Chet's plaque at the Hotel Prins Hendrik. Luckily two years after that I was back again. R.I.P. Chet
