Ford finally brought back the Bronco name, this time as a "sub brand" with the Bronco Sport to battle the Jeep Compass and Subaru lineup and the "Real Bronco" as the king of the off road hill. Can Ford's Bronco be everything to everyone as promised?

Sorry about the missing camera feed in the drive section, the camera flew off the Santa Cruz when we filmed these vehicles back to back and all our footage was lost. I decided it would be weird to inject footage that didn't match

Ford knocked it out of the park with the new Bronco. I like the looks of the two-door version much more than the four-door, and I'm glad they kept at least one analog gauge inside (love the chosen font too) and didn't reuse the steering wheel from one of their passenger cars/crossovers. I do wish this had a column mounted shifter, but the console one it does have beats the hell out of Ford's usual rotary knob monstrosity. Hope to see a hybrid version sometime down the line for those of us that are a little more fuel cost conscious, or at least a return to boxier styling along the general product line sometime down the line.

Well done on the aerial trail turn assist shot. Quality content.

Hands down the best Bronco review out there. Thank you!

When it comes to Jeeps, the Sahara was designed to be a pavement princess. No serious Jeeper gets one. For those who want to mod their Jeep themselves, there is the Sport. For those who want the most trail ready Jeep that doesn't need a whole lot of mods, there is the Rubicon.

Alex, your reviews are hands down the most complete and done the best! Any vehicle I'd consider buying, I'd first look to see if you had done a review on it. Nice job and thanks.

Nice salute to a classic moment in bronco history with the tune selected and displayed when viewing the infotainment. Go OJ go.

Bronco..Rivian...F150 E GT...how many exciting cars this year! Has anyone actually seen any of these outside of YT reviews? Cars are becoming these mythical objects.

I don't care if others buy the 4 door, I'm absolutely eyeing the 2 door model.

Coming from a TJ and YJ Wrangler, I lost interest when Jeep dropped the 4.0 for the V6. But there's been no replacement ever, so I just ended up with a modded Frontier instead, which just isn't the same. Finally something I could actually check out as a direct alternative to a Jeep.

0:30 when GM decided to resurrect the Blazer name, they slapped it on a generic crossover

Well done, Ford👏 and excellent video as always, Alex!

Alex, I would be offended if you did NOT compare this to a Wrangler. Heck you can even compare it to other brands of 4X4 if you really want. And Alex, I am going to go out on a limb and predict this independent front suspension 'thing' is really going to catch on.

No folding windscreen? Cuz everybody loves to fold those Jeep windscreens down, don't they? They do it all the time right?
I dropped the windscreen on a Toyota FJ40 and it was horrible. Of course it was fairly horrible with the windscreen up too but worse down. I imagine Jeeps are the same. Is it a cultural thing?
I like a nice, stiff, non-floppy windscreen myself.

This is the review I've been waiting for and it did not disappoint. Well done, Alex!

Alex - if Consumer Reports would watch some of your videos they might get a clue as to how to review a vehicle with education AND entertainment. You make it easy to learn. Cheers!

Thanks for this review, Alex. I really like the 2 door as it harkens back to the original Bronco (and K5 Blazer) design. If GM would have built a real Blazer instead of ruining the Blazer name on just another CUV, this would be another discussion.

My '79 CJ5 with a 304 V8...14-15 mpg on the road. My F150 with the V8...13-15 mpg on the road. My Ford Flex with a V6...18 mpg in mixed driving. All the tech and whatnot really has not made a dent in heavy vehicles efficiency.

Great review as usual, just a note that backseat cushions flip up to offer a flatter surface with seat folded down.

I'm a two door personas all the way. I have a family crossover, so a 4 door is not a must since I like to camp light. I do have 2 small booster seat size child's that would fit just fine on those two rear seats. Plus going to a 2 door is just sexier, screams youth and freedom is is like $4k cheaper which mean I could get it faster. Now, I would like a badlands, but I can't afford it, so the black diamond is my sweet spot. It has has those waterproof seats, rear locker and auxiliaries with steelies, so all I would do is put 35s.

I think I’d have to take a Bronco over a Wrangler, since I just learned from this video that the Bronco comes with smooth jazz.
