Phyllis Webstad Orange Shirt Day Presentation

Orange Shirt day is an annual event held each September 30th in remembrance of the Canadian Residential School system and the impact of this government policy on First Nations. Phyllis Webstad presents her memories of Residential schools and the meaning of Orange Shirt Day.

Phyllis, you are a heroine, you changed the world with your orange shirt! I am so happy to see you as an adult who still works for justice. I am originally from Nakusp B.C but now live in the U.S. I would love to meet you some day. Thank you for being such a strong child and woman.
