Kaspersky, Nazis, and Blackhat hackers aka threat actors

In this video, we explore the US government's ban on Kaspersky Labs, focusing on the reasons behind the decision and its broader implications. The ban stems from concerns about national security and potential espionage due to Kaspersky’s Russian origins and its founder’s background. Despite these fears, no concrete evidence has linked the company to espionage activities.

We look at historical precedents, such as Operation Paperclip, where the US government employed former Nazi scientists for national interests, contrasting this with the current treatment of Kaspersky. The video highlights the double standards and selective enforcement at play, questioning the true motivations behind the ban.

Kaspersky Labs has taken significant steps towards transparency, including opening centers for independent code reviews, yet the ban remains. This raises questions about whether the decision is driven more by geopolitical tensions than actual security threats.

We also discuss the impact of the ban on the cybersecurity industry and international relations. Various threat actors and blackhat hackers share their views on the ban and its potential effects on cybersecurity practices.

The video aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the Kaspersky ban, examining the evidence, or lack thereof, and the broader context of US government actions and policies. It encourages viewers to consider the implications of this decision and engage in the discussion.

Kaspersky has an amazing track record, and they're what I recommend to people who ACTUALLY need an antivirus. The accusations and attacks on their company are equivalent to saying that any piece of US software is tied to the NSA just because they're based in the US.

This simply makes me think that the NSA is actively attempting to use or has used software in the realm of antivirus and potentially even anticheat or other software that gets high level privileges on a system to spy on people in other countries.

I need to find another good antivirus to recommend to the few people I know who need one now.

The last people or entities I'm going to trust about national security issues like this are our government and current administration. This company has done nothing but be open and helpful when looking through their program / company for anything that could be a risk against our security. How many US based tech companies have come remotely close to this? Ill wait.

Great video... I think it would be very challenging for the opposing view to argue a valid thesis against these arguments. Really enjoyed it. Thanks. (Given an inability to supply any supporting evidence of espionage).
Apart from that, i learnt a lot and confirmed a lot. Apreciate you.

Banning a company because of the country their are incorporated in, just cannot be compared to discrimination on the basis of nationality or ethnicity. Companies are obliged to follow the directives of that government, and that would theoretically imply backdooring their software or handing over data.
But the ban of Kaspersky is about geopolitics, it is about weakening Russia, and companies like Kaspersky are seen as strategically important. This is the same nonsense as banning Huawei, which did not work out either. But I wouldn't be surprised if US diplomats will try to pressure Europe and other allies to follow this ban, to make the hit harder.
Just ignore any claims about ethics and anything else that is purely meant for the media, and get down to what it's actually about.

Damn, I didn't expect this video to be factual based on the title. You got me good 😸

Banning Kaspersky hurts windows users. I hate to admit it but I actually have to use that Swiss Cheese OS sometimes.
Kaspersky and Bit Defender are the 2 best out there. I'll give Kaspersky a higher score because of it's robust reporting and I actually use it so maybe I'm biased.
What makes me angry is the trend of banning software/ platforms for "potentially" posing a threat though these threats are never proven nor have any exploits been proven to be perpetrated by said platforms because this goes beyond Kaspersky.
What are they going to do next?
Ban my socket wrench?

Nice format of interviewing "threat actors" using text-to-speach.
