I'm fine for now without AV on my PC :D less resource eating programs and more power/speed to my PC. Lived like this for years, and only once I got annoying major virus, which I took care of anyway.

One good advice regarding spam. If you get a message that has a link that says "If you dont want to receive these messages click here" DONT click it. Most spam companies will only send you more spam if you click it.

I'm screwing with e-mails that are random bullshit, that I don't care for anyway :D for example, I once got e-mail from China (or so they said), it was actually "she" who wrote it (or so the name said it), and offered me some job that they would like me to work, it was some chemical place or something, but there wasn't an file attachment, I think...

AVG, Malwarebytes and Super Anti (all of which can be downloaded at ninite) are what most of us in the IT industry use to clean out a users PC. If they fail to fix the problem then the backup to these is to (PLEASE if you are going to use this take caution this can really destroy your PCs registry among other things if you are not careful) run ComboFix -->before doing so you should be in safe mode with all other applications including AntiVirus applications turned off because combofix does not take no for an answer once started and will run it through<--. For those below talking about Norton we still uninstall it if the user is not paying for it because it is always active and takes over your computer as it will scan everything you do including opening simple text documents (though i will not disagree it offers the best protection) it still users much more resources than any of the three mentioned before. If you have problems uninstalling something use RevoUninstaller in Hunter mode then click and drag the crosshairs over the application.
