Jake Blake demonstrates the Yamaha FG800 acoustic guitar at Kraft Music.

The FG800 follows in the footsteps of Yamaha's best-selling FG700S Acoustic Guitar. Yamaha's FG series has consistently been the #1 selling acoustic guitar family of all time, and rightly so. They represent one of the best values in the music industry. Whether you're a beginning player, or just looking to add another guitar to your collection, the FG800 is a great way to get a high-quality, solid-top acoustic guitar at a very affordable price.

This instrument features outstanding sound quality, smooth playability, and the craftsmanship you expect from a genuine Yamaha instrument. The FG800 includes deluxe features such as scalloped X bracing, die-cast tuners, a solid spruce top, and rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Abalone inlays and a high-gloss finish make this guitar look as good as it sounds.

The heritage of Yamaha folk guitars begin with the FG series. Yamaha's FG series stretches back into the mid 60's on the heels of the folk guitar movement in the United States. Moving into the 1970's, many notable artists were seen playing Yamaha acoustic guitars…Jimmy Page, Paul Simon, James Taylor, and Bruce Springsteen to name a few. Yamaha's FG series is the #1 selling acoustic guitars of all time. FG guitars are known for quality, dependability, playability and value.

This guitar does not come from Yamaha with any accessories but Kraft Music's exclusive money-saving BUNDLES have you covered! Our acoustic guitar BUNDLES include everything you need to go along with your new guitar, including a bag or case, guitar strap, tuner and more. A solid-top acoustic guitar with accessories for under $200 - the Yamaha FG800 from Kraft Music packs a lot of quality for an incredibly low price!

I own this guitar and it didn’t really sound right, but now I’ve realized why it sounds like that. I’m just really bad at guitar

Hard to believe they could improve upon the FG700 at that price point. Can't wait to see em start showing up in the stores.

I just bought an FG800 in sand burst. What a deal!
($320.00 Aussie)
Looks good, sounds really nice and plays really well. Great set up right out of the box. Bar chords are easy and the neck feels really nice.
Lots of guitar for the money.

HIGHLY recommend buying from Kraft, I got such a good deal with their bundle and got so much extra stuff. This was my first guitar that was my own and I loved the deal I got.

Thank you for sharing this video! My father owns an acoustic Yamaha from the 1980s and I loved playing it as a kid. The resonance and deep rich tone always made me want one of my own. Thanks to this video I'm ordering one from your website and finding the bundle is an awesome deal! I'm excited to hear the results!

I just bought one of these for $200 new at a music store. I tried some more expensive Alvarez', Ovation, Dean and some others and this played and sounds nicer !

Jake: A lotta BG tunes have run under the bridge since I bought my Yamaha FG800 months ago. I used it for trading collateral for a Martin Dread.
Yesterday I bought 1 of the only 2 FG800's in stock in my city. Ft Worth Texas. Like hooking up with an ole pal.got it home and tuned it to 440. And
I'm off to the races. My son and I both bought Yamaha FG830's. Peronally I prefer the 800 to the 830. Selling the 830 was easy. It's in great demand
nowadays. IMHO both guitars are huge bang fer tha buck guitars. Our BG band is having a parlor picking session tomorrow. Mr FG800 will be there
with bells on. Am I hauling water fo the F Series Yamahas? You betcha I am.

Drew. What is a shamwow? The only misgiving I have with the FG800 is there is no strap button attached at their factory. I just installed a black boot lace
near the nut and strap works fine. I didn't want to drill a hole in the neck for the strap button anyway. Button is only approx $11.00 so it wasn't the cost of
the strap button

Nice loose playing and great tones you're coaxing outa that low end budget ax. I just scored an FG800 slightly used (like less than a year old and hardly ever played) for $120. The action is a bit high above fret 7 so gonna hafta go in and adjust. It also needs fresh strings as the orig factories are still on there...Martin Marquis's outa do it!

A lot of vendors have upped their game on the budget end, but for $200 the FG800 is really difficult to beat. I would mark it's closest competitor as the Epiphone AJ220S but Epiphone has raised the price on that model to $230 and the FG800 just sounds better and feels like a more intermediate grade The exception I think may be aspiring Singer-Songwriters. They will probably find that they like shorter sustain of non-scalloped bracing and may prefer the Epiphone or better yet to hunt down a used FG700
