I have had the same Mason Pearson brush since I was 23 years old and I’m 71 years old now. Needless to say, this quality brush holds up throughout one’s lifetime. I don’t remember how I found out about this particular brush. I have always had very, very thick and long hair and the only way I could or would brush it would be with a Mason Pearson brush. Anything else would tear my hair to bits.

Expensive? Oh yes. I don’t know what they cost right now, but they were pretty pricey back then, too. When estimating how many brushes one might buy in one’s lifetime, I would say that if you buy one of these brushes, you’re good to go. My brush and I have been together longer than any relationships I’ve ever had 😄.

I’m a 15 year old boy, never knew anything about hair, makeup any of that. But I always borrow my mom’s mason Pearson brush. It makes my hair so nice. Today I got my own for Christmas. My mom has had hers for over 30 years and it’s still going strong. I hope I also can have mine for the rest of my life.

I live in London. I was heading home from work one day, and found a small Mason Pearson brush on the ground. I could tell it was a good quality brush just by looking at it, so I took it home with me. 😂 I had no idea it was so expensive until I looked it up online. It’s a great brush for smoothing my daughter’s hair down with gel.

I've had my Mason Pearson since I was 7 years old, it was a gift from an aunt. I'm now 37, so it's been 30 years :) It still does the trick, but is looking a little banged up and is hard to keep clean now. I'm only now looking to replace it so am researching which one to buy. I have used the Handy this whole time though it was probably technically too small - when I was young I had suuuppper thick and long hair. As I've aged it's thinned out, but still long. I think I'll look at the popular size next, but I'll be keeping my old trusty Handy size for sure!

I have the hand size boar bristle and absolutely love it. After listening to your review, I will be going back for another in the large size to ensure a complete therapeutic experience. Stellar review👏🏻❤️

Nicole, thank you so much for this helpful video! These brushes are quite expensive, so it's great to see them in person, and, get a detailed review of each. Also, you are beautiful inside and out - keep smiling and making great videos!

I have the first one you showed, the Popular, mixed and I have had it for over a year and now I am a convert, love that brush! I am always skeptical, I have a tender head, yet long, thick hair and that brush has not disappointed me at all! Merry Christmas! XOXO

Thanks for this video. I'm a hairstylist and I work at a beauty supply so I am tempted to get this to compare it to my Olivia garden nylon/boar bristle brush where the head removes from the brush so you can clear under the cushion. I think Mason Pearson brushes look very nice and I might have to give the pocket size a try. Thanks for the info!

I have had my All Boar Hair "Popular size" for over 50 years and I still love it! The back has some scratches I think the bristles are a little shorter now, but I will have this forever! I also have 2 smaller ones bought in the 70's which are a mix of boar hair and nylon and they are my travelling ones which are also loved. Work out how much this has cost me over the years - you will be amazed 🥰
