Aerial Inspection of Areas Affected by Super Typhoon Carina and the Enhanced Southwest Monsoon in Rizal Province
July 26, 2024
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. oversees the extent of damages brought by Super Typhoon Carina and the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat) in the Province of Rizal as he conducts an aerial inspection on July 26, 2024.
The Province of Rizal, together with various areas in Regions III, IV-A and the National Capital Region (NCR), was one of the hardest hit places when Super Typhoon Carina entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on 24 July, and further intensified by the habagat.
The weather disturbances left extensive damages to properties and key infrastructure throughout the affected regions, forcing many Filipinos to flee their homes amidst rising floodwater that submerged many houses and establishments.
Local government units (LGUs) in the affected regions placed their respective localities under a State of Calamity to better address and cater to the needs of those in need.
Likewise, President Marcos Jr. continues to engage all concerned agencies to properly execute the government’s comprehensive relief and recovery efforts.
