Lately, going to the movies is pretty miserable. Overpriced snacks, people on their phones, no air conditioning, messy lobby, etc. It seems like a very long time ago, when the movie theater was an awesome experience.

21 years ago was my last good theater experience. Return of the King. Theater was packed full and everyone was glued to the screen from start to finish. All you could hear from the audience was a collective sniffling at the end and people trying to hold back tears.

I have had 18 positive theatre experiences out of 18 visits so far this year. The worst thing that happened was I knocked over my popcorn and then felt bad for the staff.

Last one was Challengers, and I had a good time at that.

Idk man, that all sounds exactly like it did 20 years ago. Prices have always been high, previews have always been excruciatingly forever, and yes, people have always sucked lol.

I went to see Spider Man 3 with some friends when it rereleased in theaters and that was a pretty good experience. Small theater, lots of laughs, everyone was having a good time and enjoying the movie and their friends. Way better experience then any other modern movie I’ve seen recently

The 20-30 minutes of ads/previews is so crazy. Luckily my Regal isn't as bad as yours since I live in Californias state capital they take a minor bit more of care not much more

Dune part 2! 70mm film, sound was blasting like crazy and everyone was just enjoying the movie. No talking or nothing, just some "ooooh" and "aaaah"

I honestly usually have pretty good movie experiences. I go to a smaller theatre and I go during matinee. No issues for me!

I always get to the theater 10 minutes late go to the restroom then hit the concession stand. So I can take my seat just in time for Nicole Kidman to tell me about the magic of cinema.

The movie theater in my location closed down. It was the only one. The last time I was there was to see a horror movie and I would never forget my experience. People literally brought fast food into the movie. That are on top of that. I kept heaven people in the front row. Talk extremely loudly to the point. That the movie wasn't even a horror movie any more It became a comedy movie with his Commentary over black phone.

We in Europe keep our mouths shut unless it's a comedy. I had 1 mediocre experience in the last 25 years.
