Today’s vlog is about the City of art.Have you ever heard about IZNIK- The City of Art, where we can feel the vibes of ottoman's Iznik art, History, olive trees, and of course the famous Iznik lake. So stay tuned- Our today's vlog is all about Iznik and Its beauty, so let's move. Iznik is a beautiful distt of the Marmara Region in Bursa, which has hosted the ottoman and Byzantine Civilization in Ancient Times. The old name of the City was Nikea. Nikea was the Capital of Anatolian Seljuk state between 1075 to 1086 In 1097 after the Siege duration of the first crusade, it went back to the Byzantine Empire. The City again under the control of the Seljuhes in 1105 came under Byzantine rule again in 1147. In 1133 Ottoman Sultan Orhan Ghazi Captured the City from Byzantine. Afterward, for some time it became the Capital of the Ottoman Empire Under ottoman rule Iznik became the center of Art trade and culture. Not only an Art and trade city, even the first Mosque, Madrasah, and soup kitchen of the Ottoman Empire were built in Iznik too. Iznik become an Art Center in 14th and 15th century
